Project Manager - Electrical Construction

Location: DFW, TX

Market leading, award winning, commercial construction building company looking for project manager with proven experience in managing electrical projects, with budgets in the region of $10M.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Project Manager to join our team in the commercial construction sector . This role involves overseeing and managing electrical installations and systems for various commercial projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, project management principles, and commercial construction processes. You will work closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and other project managers to deliver successful projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Coordination:
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for electrical systems installation in commercial construction projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate electrical systems with overall project design.
• Identify project requirements and resources, including electrical materials, tools, and labor, to meet project specifications.

• Procurement & Cost Management:
• Manage the procurement process for electrical materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs, ensuring all electrical systems are delivered within budget.
• Review and approve invoices from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring proper documentation.

• Quality & Compliance:
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with national and local electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to assess electrical work quality and ensure project timelines are met.
• Review and resolve any technical issues or project discrepancies with the electrical design.

• Health & Safety:
• Enforce health and safety protocols and ensure the electrical worksite is compliant with OSHA standards.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, risk assessments, and ensure safe practices are followed during electrical installations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing electrical projects in the commercial construction sector.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial electrical installations, including systems such as lighting, power distribution, and low-voltage systems with budgets in excess of $10M.
